Wonderful experience! Highly recommend!

Clear indication and hints received upfront. Payment went also flawlessly in two tranches. Recommendations about what to pack were also given.
We were picked up at OR Tambo airport as expected, dropped at Hazyview meeting point after around 5 hours(return the same). Travel conditions were good. From Hazyview meeting point we were picked up by the lodge staff and taken to the lodge to have the check in done. Big rooms or big tents were available. Don't expect something small. Even the tents are huge, like a small house with everything in it. Dinner and breakfast included, and also two nights of accommodation. Lodge staff was nice.
There were two game drives included. The first for about 4 hours, and the second for about 8 hours. The experience was lovely. This is why we took also the third optional game drive as well for the last day.
Throughout the game drives the guides/drivers were very attentive with us, in order to make sure that we see everything that we can in the park. We were quite lucky and we saw all the rare animals, including the big five as well: elephant, rhino, hyena, giraffe, buffalo, lion, leopard, cheetah, zebra, monkey, impala, kudu, hippo, crocodile, various birds, etc.
I recommend to have windproof and rain clothes. Even if it is warm, the wind is quite powerful.

A fantastic trip to a fantastic country!
We had a combination of game reserve, the garden route and then the Cape Town area, wine district and the peninsula. Our highest recommendations! We used Safari bookings and their subcontractors. Excellent service and everything well organized. My contact person was Keith in Cape Town and our guide for garden route and the Cape Area was Maximilien. Both extraordinary persons, we became friends and had dinner together with their wives and Keith’s little son. We are 100% satisfied!

If you love nature that is an absolutely must in South Africa. It is an astonishing experience being able to see the animals in the wild but also it is really worth expending one day on the panorama route.

Extremely helpful booking agent - went on to a live chat and talked through a draft itinerary and then produced a bespoke .pdf of what our adventure would look like.
Booking, payment and everything was easy.
As for the safari - wow - Arathusa Lodge is a once in a lifetime destination, the property is stunning, food and drink top-notch and the game drives were unbelievable, with breathtaking game viewing.
Don't hesitate - book now

ONE OF THE MOST AMAZING PLACES ON EARTH!

This was our first trip to south africa, I had always wanted to go there. I didn't know much about it, I did a little bit of research, booked the flight with Emirates and then went with Greatest Africa to get to the Kapama Buffalo Camp. Everything ran like clockwork. We were met at the Johannesburg airport by representatives of Federal Air who whisked us away to their part in the back of the joberg airport. We flew on a 12 person plane. It was very fun and exciting. We actually took off an hour early, which got us to our destination early. It was fantastic. When we arrived at the Hoedspruit airport our driver Sipro was there waiting to drive us, about 15 minutes to the Kapama Buffalo Camp. The food was fantastic, from stuffed warthog, to caparccio crock, to Springbok shank, to delicious desserts. The prebreakfast snacks were nummy, especially the little egg muffins. I asked for the receipe, they said they would email it to me, but they haven't yet. Our tent was beautiful, comfortable bed, really hot rainshower, huge soaking tub, wonderful front porch where the vervent monkeys would wake us up every morning. Word of warning, if you stay here, the monkeys know how to open the sliding doors if they are not locked. The game drives were exciting and amazing. We saw the big five over and over. The driver and tracker went over and above to make sure we had a great experience, even chopping through the bush to find a leopard. We were driving about 25 mph, in the dark, on the way back to camp, the tracker was shinning a flashlight and he actually saw a chameleon alongside the trail. We stopped and I got to hold him. Magical. We not only got to see animals, the driver and tracker were full of amazing facts about dung beetles, termite mounds, and plant life. It was a dream! Greatest Africa took complete care of making sure we were in Joberg overnight at the eclectic Fairlawn Boutique Hotel. a beautiful hotel with two bathrooms, a jacuzzi and a huge bedroom. The staff covered the bathroom with rose petals and a heart for our honeymoon. It wasn't really our honeymoon, but that was what the safari was called. We definately recommend visiting South africa and using greatest africa to book your dream vacation.

Joburg was a stopover which became a wonderful experience. It is a very interesting city and I also enjoyed travelling to Kruger National Park which was everything I hoped. So much more to see but my week provided memories everyone should experience.

Baobab Ridge was an incredible experience and the hospitality was unmatched. The staff, the game drives, the meals were all incredible and I made many new friends along the way! I cannot wait to bring back family and friends to enjoy. Indigo Safaris did a great job helping me to plan the trip and following up before and during to make sure things went smoothly.

Unforgettable memories
Overall rating
5/5

Our family of four (kids aged 5 and 8) embarked on an unforgettable safari adventure in Kruger National Park with Khalanga Safaris in September 2023. From the moment we started planning with Shoes to the thrilling wildlife encounters, our experience was amazing.

Before we even flew to South Africa, Shoes was very helpful to help build our Kruger stay. Once in Johannesburg, our transfer from O.R Tambo was smooth and off we were on safari.

Our itinerary made us spend two nights in Skukuza and 1 night in Satara. Changing camps allowed us to witness the changing landscape and see different types of animals. We were lucky to see four of the big five, including leopards and lions from up close.

Without Shoes’ spotting talents, we would probably have missed half the wildlife and he shared interesting details on the animals we were seeing. Desmond cooked us delicious food which made the experience even more special.

We will cherish the memories of our trip to South Africa and in particular these three days spent with Khalanga Safaris in Kruger National Park.

My trip met my expectations, it went as expected. I took the 3 day safari to Kruger National Park, it may take about 5 days. I also visited the Pilanesberg national park, it is highly recommended, it is easier to see wildlife in this place than in Kruger. Thanks to Viva safari and Moafrika for making these experiences possible.
