Fantastic safari experience. Skip the cities.
The lodges were fantastic. Especially leopard mountain. Rhino sands and phinda Zuka. Wish we hadn’t wasted our time at the st Lucia lodge. If going back I would just do two lodges. Minimum 3 nights each. I’d choose leopard mountain and rhino sands over phinda.
Our travel agent did an amazing job. Justin at [email protected] picked us up and transported between Durban and lodges. Provided binoculars. Snacks on the trips. It was all last minute booking for us and his advice and recommendations were fantastic.
We then flew to cape town and drove the wine regions. Which are beautiful. Should not have wasted a night in cape town. Stay in stallenbosch instead. Helicopter tour a must over table mountain. Drive/Walk to cape point a must. Will go back but stay away from the cities.

Truely breath taking
Everything about my trip was amazing. It was surreal being in the bush and seeing the wildlife. Food and accommadation was incredible. The weather was chilly but didn't bother me one bit. Everyone was extremely thoughtful and nice.
Great game preserve with a variety of animals
There was a variety of wildlife. The game drive operators seemed knowledgeable at what they were talking about and we had a great time

South Africa is such an amazing Country. We spent time in East London Town, Cape Town, Johannesburg and the safari in Kruger National Park. The weather was perfect , the food was amazing and the animals were awesome. The US dollar went so far it was great. I would recommend everyone to go and experience the people, culture and animals

Phenomenal experience
We began our South African adventure in Capetown. We met friendly, warm and welcoming people, experienced great hospitality, all while being surrounded by natural beauty and stunning scenery. Driving the route to Cape of Good Hope offered great hikes with magnificent views of mountains and oceans along with some wildlife viewing. Next was the wine route with it's lovely vineyards, where hospitality was un-paralleled.
Our safari experience at Thornybush Monwana allowed us to see the Big 5 up close and personal many times over along with an untold number of other species. The knowledgeable guide provided amazing insight into the life and habits of these incredible creatures while the Chef provided meals that were second to none in a setting that allowed us to be fully immersed in nature with animals mere feet away from our deck.
Victoria Falls is one of the "seven wonders of the World". Having been to Niagara Falls many times, I can attest that Victoria Falls is in a class by itself and the Falls and Rainforest are a sight to see.
Al in all, a Phenomenal trip to a beautiful area with friendly people and diverse natural and animal world that we will remember fondly for years.

Wild Planet Safari offered an outstanding experience featuring abundant Wildlife in Krueger
Our four day Safari with Wild Planet Safari at the end of the dry season in Krueger Park surpassed all my expectations. The park and campsites themselves are appropriately developed to offer a comfortable and accessible environment for visitors. If this is to be your first, or only African Safari, I highly recommend Krueger and Wild Planet Safari.
Our Wild Planet Safari with our Guide Ryan and his assistant in a private enclosed vehicle was the perfect choice. We had personalized service and wonderful meals. The information Ryan shared about the animals we saw was extensive. Additionally, Ryan was able to speak knowledgeably about Conservation not only in Krueger but in other parks in southern Africa, South African politics, and culture providing us with a much richer experience than we would have had touring on our own.
The dry conditions meant foliage was sparse which helped in spotting and viewing wildlife. Speaking of wildlife, the abundance and variety of birds and animals we saw continues to amaze me and the pictures I share with family and friends get rave reviews. Ryan's knowledge of the park itself meant he maximized every minute outside the campsite gate and visits to all the best animal viewing spots.
If you go, Go with Wild Planet Safari. Get your self an Animal guide Book because it is the ONLY way you will be able to keep track of every animal you see. Take the Morning Ranger led Bush Walk to spend time on the ground walking the trails used by the animals. You may not see ALL the animals you traveled to see but you will see far more animals/birds than you ever imagined you would.

Worth every cent ....
The trip was amazing from start to finish. Our guide Nick was knowledgeable and kind and considerate of my teen. They formed a great bond and despite varying weather she had the time of her life. We saw the big 5 and Nick went out of his way to ensure that all members of our tour had all their needs met. The accommodation as great, very comfortable beds, food was amazing, and despite our animal loving approach we tried the meat and it was exceptional.
Nicks knowledge of not only Kruger but Africa in general made our trip (even the car ride) so interesting and informative. He is an amazing man who knows just about all there is to know about his country and its wildlife. The trip was suppose to be a once in a lifetime event but have already booked a return!

Comfortable and fun safari trip close to Cape Town
This was a great introduction to South African wildlife. Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly and was great at spotting animals as went through the grounds. We had a lovely room, complete with a card welcoming us to the lodge and a bottle of sparkling wine. Very nice staff who did their best to help us with various questions.

Hugely memorable.
Second time to SA. Visited Jo'burg (lots to see) and Durban (beach fabulous) as well as Timbavati and Sabi Sand which both were wonderful for hospitality, quality and wildlife (where do I start!). People always welcoming and polite. Never felt unsafe. Very good value for money. Weather was warm and pleasant except for a couple of days in two weeks where is was showery. Thoroughly enjoyable.
