South Africa and a Safari at Madikwe National Reserve is a must on your bucket list
Madikwe was fabulous. The 260 square mile preserve is large enough to be home to all of the animals and birds you want to see on a safari (and many you have never heard about) but is not crowded with tourists and allowed a really intimate viewing of the wildlife. We stayed 2 nights each at two wonderful small lodges at different sides of the park and really feel we got to see different aspects of the area. For others who had been to safaris elsewhere we heard that off road viewing permitted here is not allowed elsewhere and therefore we were able to see more wildlife up close.

The big five, all before breakfast.
Out South Africa holiday and safari were incredible. We had the sunset safari, the early morning and afternoon game drives and hoped to see a few of the big five. We had great tour guides who knew the terrain and where to find the creatures, great communication between the guides sharing information about sightings as well. We saw impressive animals on every outing including all of the big five before breakfast one morning. Job well done.
We were treated very well by our tour operators and lodging staff. The food supplied as part of our tour plentiful and tasty. Everyone was very kind and made us feel like we want to come back. Job well done!
Excellent, seeing aminals in their own enviorement looking so healthy is a beautiful thing
Loved all of it... I was a little worried when leaving Australia not knowing what to expect, but once we met our guides I knew we were in good hands...I feel the guides do make the trip they were full of information and knew so much about their country and wildlife...We stayed in tents most of the time that were easy to put up and pull down and the beds were comfortable...what more can you expect on a safari other than good food and we sure did have that.
Thanks for a trip I'll never forget..

Wounderful wildlife! Modern Africa.
The Trip at all was wounderful. We saw a huge variation of Wildlife and svenery. The weather was refreshing and not as hot as expected.
A great visit!
We lucked out with the early Spring weather and a full moon, even a bit of smoke to glorify the dawn ride sunrises; and the Tydon safari crew were enthusiastic and helpful to a T.... Bouquets to Liesl for her off-roading and the pile of hyena cubs! We got up close with so many species! Thank you.

Is a great safari destination thanks to Kruger park as explained before, moreover outside the park the are the most beautiful and varying sceneries of the world. (I highly recommend Garden route)

You must visit South Africa!
I went to South Africa with my boyfriend for our first safari and as our first "overseas trip" as well, so we were very excited, but we didn't know ecxatly what to expect. Well, everything surprised us in a very positive way. We visited the Kruger National Park and had the unique opportunity to see many of the animals we knew only throught the Discovery Channel very close! We saw all the Big 5 and many wonderful animals more (wild dogs, hienas, hippos, birds, zebras, giraffs, impalas, kudus...). All the game drives we did were fantastics! Besides that, the accomodations were very confortable, the food was delightful and our guide was amazing, sharing all his knowledge and being able to find all the animals.
Everything was much better than I could expect. I surly recomend Wildlife Safaris! :)
Most memorable African safari of our lives.
We just returned from Southern Africa. The first 3 weeks were with a tour company from the US. We visited Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe - Victoria Falls - and Zambia. But we saved the best for last. After the rest of the tour returned home, we fulfilled a lifelong dream to visit Kruger National Park in South Africa and we did it with Endless Summer Tours. We were picked up at our hotel in Jo-burg by our guide Rhys who remained an endless source of knowledge not only about all the wildlife, but about South Africa in general. He was a superb chef, too. Within the first 10 miles of arriving in the park, we came upon a pack of wild dogs, all of whom appeared to be lounging after a big meal with bellies full. The camp site was classic and our rondavel was cute and cozy. The next to last day was exceptionally memorable in our hunt to glimpse a leopard. After 12 hours of searching, we finally found him, beautiful and majestic. Wow! The next day we saw another leopard on the hunt and an amazing display of a dominant male rhino chasing off 3 younger trespassers. Rhys found all of the big five and a fantastic array of raptors, vultures and other aviary friends. We thank Endless Summer Tours for making our Kruger experience fabulous. Five out of five stars!

The experience of wildlife is something never to be forgotten, highlights every day, and night.
Saw and learnt lots, with comfortable, clean and well appointed camps to enjoy overnight. The company we booked with (Wild Planet Safari) was efficient, well equipped and also personal in our dealings with them. I would recommend them to others.

Sabi Sands was Magnificant!
We stayed at Idube game lodge for our Sabi Sands adventure. Everything exceeded our expectations (and we are picky folks). The lodge staff, the rangers and trackers, and the culinary experts were all outstanding. Everyone was friendly and outgoing. If you wanted privacy, you could easily retreat to your room and deck. September was perfect for temperatures (cool mornings and hot afternoons) and animal encounters. Not a good time of year for birding, but we knew that going in. Saw everything we wanted to and more. Would highly recommend this lodge. As they say, "people make the difference"....they definitely did.
