Stunning country with beautiful nature and wildlife
At the end of the dry season with an almost unreal landscape of dry savannah just getting green after a bit of rainfall we conducted a 5 day safari close to the Kruger National Park. It was a very special experience to see and experience the big five, as well as other animals, in their natural surroundings. The tour guides were very knowledgeable and eco-minded, taking care of the animals as well as of us. Our accommodation in a treehouse was absolutely beautiful and the food served as three course meals! outside was amazing.

What a vast awesome place South Africa is and what a beautiful place to visit
Our Kruger safari was booked with Viva Safaris and they were brilliant. Every single member of staff were knowledgeable, helpful, friendly and couldn’t do enough to make our stay amazing. We chose the 5 Day Tremisana / Treehouse Safari which was wonderful especially the Treehouse as we saw giraffe elephant and antelope wandering free around the Accomodation. Every night there was a fire pit lit and it was so atmospheric to sit outside. We loved the whole experience and we saw rhino, buffalo, leopard, elephant and lion to name but five.

An exciting and pictureseque country with many problems.
Three days in Kruger National Park were memorable. The wildlife sightings were fantastic even the less popular animals. Any wildlife lover would not be disappointed. Unfortunately concerns about safety in various areas is always in the background.

Unspoiled Beauty! Abundant Wildlife - even in the city!
We had a wonderful vacation in South Africa. I highly recommend Cape Town, but be sure to visit the national parks as well, where you will go on two or three games drives daily to see Elephants, Giraffes, Zebras, Kudu, Lions, Leopards, Rhinos, Hippos, and herds and herds of Impala! You won't believe how close you are able to get to the animals. Oh, and the birds!! Amazing birds!
One word of caution - the shark cage dive was disappointing. They can't guarantee you will see Great Whites and the chances of seeing them (at least this time of year) are not very good. We saw sharks, but they were no bigger than a dolphin and not scary at all. Also, it was very early in the morning and both the air and the water were COLD! I was miserable and would not do that again.
Everything else was wonderful, including the food - be sure to visit Table Mountain.

The country has an immense variety of fauna and flora, people were very welcoming.
We had a great time in South Africa, as we were lucky enough to spend 3 weeks there. The variety is great, we saw many « safari » animals, as well as whales and penguins, but also could spend time in nice town areas having good drinks and food. Definitively recommend to spend enough time there and explore the coast as well as the North

The best place I have ever been!!! Heaven
We used Safari bookings (chap named Sam took us). It was epic. THE best safari/ tour we have ever done. We were on honeymoon here (the perfect destination, has everything!) and the full day tour was incredible, the guide was so knowledgeable and passionate, we saw the Big 5 (several times!) had some very special moments inc a Leopard up a tree with a kill, and a lion kill of a giraffe...! Everyone is freindly, polite, and cant do enough for you. The tour lasted longer than we booked we were so grateful! Thank you Safari Bookings!

Wonderful nature, amazing culture and people, an absolute must to visit place!
3 days safari in the Krueger is an absolute te must to get in tune with the beautiful nature this country has to offer. A wonderful unforgettable experience to see all the aninals in the wild, never get tired of it!.. But 3 days are enough. Even staying outside the Krueger is ab3fine and in fact you get to experience more of local life.
Makebsure to spend enough time based in Cape Town. I stayed 9 days there did plenty of excursions and still there would have been more to see further east. Wine estates are a must and totally worth the visits to Stellenbosh and Franshuuk, in Groet Constantia make sure to do the chocolate pairing too!! The bitanical gardens are stunning as are the panoramic drives and cape point, the whales at Hermanus d multiple sites filled with history. Cape Town itself has lots to offer from food to museum to night life.
People are what makes this place special and wonderful.
A place to definitely put in everyone's travel list.. I can't wait to go back!!
Contrasting scenery, wild animals and great food
We arrived in Johannesburg and went on a 1 day safari the next day. We were picked up promptly at our hotel, but then spent a long time driving around the suburbs of JB, picking other group members. ( around 3hrs)
The safari was in ope n trucks and conducted by local guides. We saw 3 of the Big 5 ( no Buffalo, but a view of moving grass about 200m away, that we were told was a Leopard.Flew to Cape Town and joined a 3 day excursion, with just the 2 of us as travellers. I preferred this tour. Visited the Ostrich Farm, did some WineTasting, drove through some beautiful scenery and townships. Accommodation was mid range **s, but quite comfortable. Meals were organised by the tour operator, and except for one, were very nice.
The Cango caves tour was on Day 2. We opted for the adventure tour..... almost 3 km underground, some of it bent over or crawling on your stomach. At one point, we had to ascend through a "chimney" and then "post" ourselves through a "post box " slit, before sliding head first down the rock below. It was a lot of fun. Recommend you try the "templates"" up top before going on this tour. I'm really glad we did this element, rather than the normal cave tour. A traditional South African lunch, saw us served with Ostrich. Delicious
Another day safari, where we saw 4 Big 5 animals ( no Leopard), but did see a Cheetah and her cubs instead. A private park with no as much bush cover as the first Safari.but we appreciated seeing the animals up close.
Day trips from Cape Town included Cape Point/Cape of Good Hope, the Penguin Colony and some really nice seafood at Seapoint.
This was my 3rd trip to SA and I still get a buzz from seeing the animals in their natural habitat, as well as other local places.

Amazing experience
Karina at Safari Bookings organised an amazing trip - I wouldn’t change anything!
We visited Sabi Sands and Timbavati game reserves and both areas were stunning . We were so amazed at how close we got to the wild animals and it was a life changing experience .
The food was also amazing and Karina made everything so seamless by organising transfers etc.
After the safari part of our trip (6 days) we also visited Johannesburg and Cape Town - Cape Town especially was beautiful.
I will be back to South Africa!
