South Africa and the national parks here are some of the best that I've been to ... they're untouched and wild, and the people that frequent them have respect for one another and the environment which they're in.

heaven! dreaming of going back!
My boyfriend and I traveled to South Africa and had the most wonderful time. We traveled to uganda, kenya, tanzania and south africa. We did not think we would enjoy south africa as much as we did, however that was the highlight of our trip! it was beautiful and we even treated ourselves to 3 nights in sabi sands (staying at the wonderful Dulini lodge) where we saw a leopard kill!
We cant wait to return and are already trying to plan when we will go back! we would 100% recommend it.

We traveled across South Africa - from the northern border/Kruger, down through Johannesburg, on to Capetown, Port Elizabeth and finally Durban. It is a huge swath of land, people, life and sights that will intrigue and please even the most traveled persons.
Everyone should see it at least once.

We also visited Pumba Game Reserve. This was smaller and didn't have the range of animals that Shamwari had. The accommodation was luxurious and the restaurant was good, but the guide was nowhere near as good as Shamwari.

The conservation initiatives of the South Africans are well known and respected around the world. I have been in safaris in two other continents and they have not been as well organized and considerate of the wildlife. Everyone knows about the "Big Five", but there is a great respect for many of the other species with a clear objective to minimize animal-human conflict as much as possible while also confronting the very real and dire issue of poaching. The diversity of wildlife, as well, make the safari experience in Kruger a fascinating and amazing experience. Don't forget to bring your camera - you will have ample opportunity to take great shots! In terms of hotels and restaurant services, SA offers very good value for tourists. The standards are very high and the South Africans are very friendly people.

Every safari destination I have visited within South Africa has been truly worth it. The game reserves are generally of a very high standard. South Africa has around 1000 bird species, it's impossible to get bored.

I love the positive happy vibe of South Africa. The people are so happy, friendly and helpful and the country is just absolutely stunning! There is so much to offer people of all interests. There is plenty of nature for the nature lovers, there are loads of adventure activities for for the adrenaline junkies and there is so much amazing food and wine to be sampled.
I absolutely adored South Africa and am keen to return.

Having never experienced another country's safari offerings, perhaps I am too naive to comment. However, this is the best in the world. I am glad I came.
We drove from Jeffrey's Bay to the Kruger, I saw so much, it was all so beautiful!
