Since this was my first safari experience and I had the great fortune of staying at Tintswalo, Idube, and Lukimbi; three very different lodges. I fell in love with game reserves and photographing animals. I loved being able to interact with various cultures, just learning basic greetings and getting to use them. Even down to the various drivers who took me from lodge to lodge and to the airport: so many unique people who were easily willing to share their knowledge and pride in South Africa. It just kept getting better! And I would like to add that the admin staff were all very professional and helpful in securing last minute transportation. Many more good things to say.....fabulous experience.

Going on safari in South Africa was at first far out of our comfort zone, but once there we felt welcomed and were blown away by the people, the scenery and the wildlife.

South Africa is amazing because you can combine a visit in nature with one in the city. We have friends in Cape Town, so we spent a few days there before taking a two hour flight to Sabi Sands. It's also a one hour flight (plus two hour drive) to Johannesburg. Or, if you want a beach, it's about a 40 minute charter flight to Mozambique. A lot of other couples on their Honeymoon finished their adventure there. There are many reserves that one can visit.

The diversity of bird and mammal life in South Africa is amazing. That combined with good infrastructure make it a wonderful destination.

South Africa has numerous private and national Big 5 nature reserves in addition to the Kruger National Park. Some of these cater explicitly for your high-paying dollar / pound users with excellent personal service and packages tailored to your needs. If you can't find a most rewarding safari package in South Africa, you won't find it any other place in the world! For someone not wanting an expensive holiday you'll never beat the KNP!
