It was an awesome experience!
All was very well organized, food was very good, driver was excellent, accommodations overall very good except for Lemala Camp Ngorongoro which was filthy and unfitted to stay. This problem was quickly resolved in a good way by the tour company. We will certainly return to Tanzania, the people are very warm and service minded.

spectacular safari with competent guide
positive: professional preparation, excellent guide with know how about animals and landscape but also about Tanzania's people and society, well chosen hotels in Arusha, Lake Manyara and in Central Serengeti, good food and drinks
not so positive: special needs for handicapped pax were not communicated to all hotels as required, a bit of hassle with the payment (but solved finally), one hotel on the rim of Ngorogoro was totally overpriced

The most amazing experience of my life
Words cannot describe how amazing an experience this holiday was. Superb locations, the most hospitable people who are passionate at welcoming visitors and ensuring you have the best possible holiday. It was such a privilege to be able to see all that Tanzania had to offer. Can’t wait to come back in the future

Amazing family trip to Tanzania - breathtaking landscapes, amazing people, powdery beaches.
8 of us (2 families of 4 w tweens) had an amazing trip to Tanzania this August. Shadows of Africa was wonderful for our private safari through the Serengeti. Especially loved the amini life lodge where we learned of Maasai tribe and slept in mid huts, and the opportunity to stay in tented camps. Zanzibar was a fabulous finish - relaxing on powdery beach, swimming w dolphins in the wild. Fabulous trip all around!
Amazing
We had such a great time! We had a 3 day safari with Michael, he is such a great guide. The boat safari was really beautiful, on the second day it was the game drive and we saw a lot animals, lion, wildebeest, elephant, birds, monkeys, impalas, buffalo, zebras... the last day we made a safari walk with a bushman, and came across wild elephants, it was a dream coming true. The accommodation was ok, sometimes we had no water in the shower, but everything else makes that good, the food from Amos was soooo good! Every night he made a veggie meal and I loved it! We miss it already. We did a short safari and i really recommend them.

It could have been better
The most important point when you book a safari is to ensure that it will be reliable. We took a 3 days safari, but it was not as well as it should.
In the description of the safari we could read the that the first day we drive to Mikumi National Park which is approximately 5 hours from Dar es Salaam. False. It was 8 hours and a half. When we arrived there was almost sunset, so we coudn't access to the park the first day. This was because the driver drove at 45 km per hour until the park. What's the catch? The three-days-access to the park was included in the total amount, so the agency (Kiliholidays Tours) saved the first day access.
Also, the car broke down the first day (problems with the refrigeration). The second day occured problems with the battery. The third day finally in Dar Es Salaam the car broke down, and we have to take other car to our hotel with a non-known driver. This driver broke down his car as well (ran out of gas), so we had to wait inside the car in the middle of the night until he came back 30 minutes later.
In summary, we had bad luck choosing the agency: we lost the enter the park the first day, and the third day we spent almost 10 hours to came back to Dar Es Salam because car breakdowns.
As something positive, we loved the park, although we didn't stay there all the time that we paid.

We had a great trip with Watu Safaris to Selous and Mikumi. The combination of the two parks made that we had a great experience and saw lots of wildlife. Excellent guide and great service by the people of Watu Safaris. An amazing experience!

Our safari to Mikumi was perfect - the wildlife was stunning and our driver, Nico was wonderful
We had a wonderful 2 day trip to Mikumi with RajaTours - we saw elephants, giraffes, wilderbeast, zebra, hippos, warthogs, baboons, birds, buffalo, lots of Impala and the highlight was seeing a leopard. Although the drive from Dar was long - we managed to see wildlife on both days and our driver Nico was great - charming, accommodating and went out of his way to look after us. We stayed at the Tan Swiss Lodge which I would highly recommend- perfect evening swim, friendly, welcoming staff and lovely food. Rajab was extremely helpful - he responded quickly to emails and made the booking really easy- even a follow up email to check we had enjoyed ourselves. COudnt have asked for more!
