From all the national parks I visited in Africa (been to Kenya, Tanzania, South-Africa, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Malawi, Zambia, Uganda), Selous Game Reserve is together with South Luangwa (Zambia) the best seen so far.

Wildlife, the big animals, are almost easy to see. It's not 100% guaranteed, but I think it shouldn't be that way. Tansania is a peaceful country. You don't have to be afraid all the time.

We used Awaken to Africa on both of our trips to Tanzania. Our guide David is one of the best we have ever used. He ensures we see the all the wildlife and Grace makes sure our accommodations are top notch. Once you go to Tanzania to see the migration you will want to go back every year.

Tanzania is by far my favorite country in Africa, and that's largely because I've spent the most time there on safari. It has such a great variety of landscapes and wildlife, and is definitely a great safari destination. Transportation makes it somewhat easy to get to various areas of this large country, and if you plan it out right, can hit a number of great spots within a reasonable budget. The locals are very warm and friendly, and most of the safari companies I've worked & booked with have been extremely accommodating. This is classic Africa to be sure, and you will definitely get to experience some of the "bush life" in several of the more remote parks like Ruaha. Because of the popularity of these destinations, some of the trips can be a little on the pricier side, but if you do some research, and don't mind a little self-sufficiency, you can plan an amazing trip.

We went with Eastern Sun Tours on a 6 day / 5 night camping safari. Why would anybody want to pay for accommodation above camping? We visited Lake Manyara, Tarangire, Ngorongoro and Serengeti. Nothing was too much trouble either before or during the trip and the service was first class. Well done Simon and Mercy you have a fantastic team.

A great place to experience your first safari.

The national parks in Tanzania have a stunning amount of animals (significantly more so than Ugandan parks), and this makes game drives easier there. We visited 5 parks/reserves there, but by far our favorite resort was the Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge at the rim of the crater. The views from the hotel were stunning, and the dining room was very luxurious, so I highly recommend this lodge.

The Serengeti is a must for any safari to Tanzania. If you can be there during the Great Migration (Jan-Mar) you'll see some awe-inspiring wildlife. Unfortunately we went during the summer, so we missed that, but still had an amazing journey.

The Ngorongoro crater full of wild life was amazing experience though the weather is cold but accomodation at the ngorongoro crater lodge was wonderful and of high standards that with all varieties of nice food and drinks prepared by world class chefs. Transport and guide by malasons safaris and tours Tanzania ltd made my trip with my family enjoyable as all were handled professionally and we real appreciate the company Directors cheerful jokes Mr. Daniel.

My wife and our daughter are asking for another trip to ngorongoro as the crater was with all kind of wildlife and also the safari was enjoyable that they need another one.
