The roads were really Ok. The guide was very well educated and dedicated to protect the wildlife. We did not see any single waste on the road or elsewhere. Even no smoking person. The parks are so big. You are almost lost inside.

Our first visit, would equate to Botswana, high quality wildlife viewing, great camps and stunning scenery. Will be back, successful 'River Crossing' next time.

It is hard to imagine that such places still exists coming from the western world
I saw all the big five and all the rest in big quantities. The sceneries were breathtaking. It was quite wet, humid and cold at times. You really need warm clothes. Accommodation was very good, but I also choose to stay in mid-range to luxury accommodation. Food was good most of the time. The guide was very knowledgeable, good company and always in a good mood. He was also an excellent driver and gave us always a feeling of safety. The absolute highlight was Ndutu and Serengeti amongst the other highlights.

Tanzania deserves its reputation as the best safari destination. It takes your breath away over and over and over again. It does require some cash, tolerance, and patience, but it is worth it.

The abundant wildlife and magical majesty of the Serengeti provide memories of a lifetime.
Msafiri Tours, based in Dar es Salaam, with their excellent guide Charles Benjamin based in Arusha, provided us with a top notch experience. Thanks to Charles' excellent sighting, we saw every wild animal we hoped we would see on a 7-day safari including Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorogoro Crater, and Lake Manyara Park. We stayed in luxury tents with a bed, western toilet and showers available everyday. The KatiKati camp in Serengeti was outstanding, and the food prepared over a fire was the best. Charles was so informative, providing insights and commentary, with knowledge of the terrain, without being boastful or excessive. We highly recommend the combination of Msafiri and Charles, which provided us a memorable, positive experience of a lifetime.

For all the wildlife and scenery but also due to the regulated/ non competitive tour companies who work together to make your experience the best it can be

I don't have any other safari experiences to compare as this was my first visit to Tanzania. But with so many wildlife parks in the country, I would definitely recommend Tanzania as a safari destination. The guides and local people are friendly and helpful.

I would highly recommend Tanzania as a safari destination. We traveled through both Kenya and Tanzania on our safari, and both countries had amazing things to experience and see during our trip.
Our overall experience in Tanzania was incredible. We stayed in 3 different lodges (all part of the Sopa chain). The accommodations at all 3 locations were excellent. Our transportation was great - we used Grumeti Expeditions in Tanzania, and our driver was excellent, and had extensive knowledge of the country, parks, and wildlife. We never had a question not answered to our satisfaction.
The wildlife was incredible - we saw so much more than just the "Big 5" (Cape Buffalo, Rhino, Elephant, Lion, Leopard), and the variety of terrain (from the vastness of the Serengeti plains to the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater) made it even more amazing. We were very pleasantly surprised at the overall variety of birds that we saw, and the beautiful colors in them.
About the only negative (and this is not major in any way) was that toward the end of our trip, the food was beginning to get a bit predictable and boring - the types of lodges and camps we stayed in pretty much served similar meals, and it was hard to find much variety. But overall the food was very good, so that is just a very minor complaint in what proved to be probably the best trip I have ever been on.

Great weather and the overall wildlife experience plus people's hospitality levels
