If you are an animal lover, then the opportunity to see so much wildlife, so close up, and enjoy the variety of scenery, can't be beat anywhere else in the world.

Tanzania allows you to see everything in relatively close proximity compared to other destinations we have travelled to in southern Africa.

Tanzania revealed itself like a great natural environment that offers amazing sceneries that visitors can't see anywhere in the world.

We visited two safari parks, Ngorongoro and Serengeti. Both parks are well protected. The parks is a treasure for Tanzania and tourism, but there is a balance.

Very good because the parks are less crowded than other places in africa. Only negative was there were no local towns to go for excursions.

Tanzania has the most parks to explore and they are not fenced like other locations. Also there are many local tribes with fascinating cultures and the people are friendly!

An amazing experience. We used Safari Legacy tours with Norman as our guide. He adapted our itinerary once he saw that we had 3 serious photographers and we were not interested in relaxing by the pools and eating. We were there for game drives!
Most mornings we left our tented accommodations before sunrise taking box breakfasts and boxed lunches. We only returned after the Parks closed and we had to leave. We saw all of the "Big Five", Lion, Leopard, Cape Buffalo, Rhino and Elephant. We also saw cheetahs. Fantastic!! One disappointing aspect is that visitors are required to leave most of the parks by 6 pm (4 pm Ngorongoro). This is to respect the wildlife and not have visitors interfering with predators hunting. The downside for photographers is that the best light is from 6:30 am to about 9 am and from 4:30 to 7 pm.
In total I shot over 4,000 images using 2 cameras which is >120 GB. Luckily I brought both a laptop and an external HD.

Tanzania is the place to go for a safari. You will see an abundance of wildlife and when you are traveling to each destination the culture and the scenery is amazing.

Tanzanias parks are the African safari par excellence. The cities leave something to be desired, but if you want the true game drive experience, Serengeti and Ngorongoro are as good as it gets. I enjoyed Tarangire immensely too.
