One great journey to see the wildebeest migration and river crossing.

Weather in August was perfect, with plenty of animals to watch. Accommodations and food were generally good. Our driver and tour guide was superb. Highlights were the 4 times of wildebeest river crossing we saw during 4-day stay in Mara River area.

Amazing views, amazing wildlife, amazing people, problems with accomodation
Overall rating
4/5

We had a 3 day trip to Mikuma and Udzungwa mountains. The views and the wildlife were amazing, we did not see any lions at the end unfortunately. There were some problems with the accomodations, one night we had to request a new room, the first room was not cleaned.

It was an awesome experience!

All was very well organized, food was very good, driver was excellent, accommodations overall very good except for Lemala Camp Ngorongoro which was filthy and unfitted to stay. This problem was quickly resolved in a good way by the tour company. We will certainly return to Tanzania, the people are very warm and service minded.

Memorable for the right reasons

We went to Selous game reserve for 3 nights, 4 days. We stayed at hippocamp. Our experience at the game reserve was amazing, we saw lots of animals, had lots of breathtaking memories made, so many pictures to go through. Our guide Ali, was very knowledgeable about where the animals might be and about their habits. We loved every minute of it. Would definitely recommend.
Hippocamp, was basic but we knew this. The staff were lovely and the food was very good, we didn’t have a bad meal. No internet for 4days was lovely, there is no WiFi, no need to check social media,
Bush babies visited us every night and our walking safari was eventful, heart stopping and exhilarating.

Great safari in the southern parks with few tourists and lots of animals!
Overall rating
4/5

The Southern Circuit (Selous, Mikumi, Ruaha) is really recommendable because you discover the big differencies in the behaviour of the animals in the different parks and the changing landscape on the way. The parks are not crowded at all (maybe Mikumi a little bit) and there are plenty of animals to see. Except of lions or leopards (where everyone is going directly to have a look) you will often be the only car close to the animals.
The weather is pleasant and the accomodations very nice. There are also just a few mosquitos and Tsetse-flies.
We would definitely recommend the Safari in the Southern Parks if you like more remote parks with few tourists.

I was really satisfied about my experience with Safari Specialist.

I did appreciate the customer care from the very beginning. They gave me useful advices, not only about the safari but also with my journey in Tanzania in general. They managed to rescheduled in a very short time the trip in order to meet needs. The driver was great. A very kind guy and the accommodations was very genuine as well as clean.

At the vey end, I felt very comfortable throughout the safari.

Exotic & wild safari
Overall rating
4/5

Without focusing much about bumpy & rough roads, Tanzania is fantastic for exotic and wild safari. However, in case we are talking about animal varieties, Kenya has more animal species based on my own experiences. Nevertheless, in term of quantity, Tanzania is the best :)

Safari experience in mid-range package
Overall rating
4/5

We enjoyed Serengeti and Tarangire national parks a lot. Each of them has a different character. Tarangire is nicely shaped by the river. You don't need to drive long distances to see wild animals. Serengeti is impressive by the endless plains and classic safari experience. But it tends to be overcrowded at some places. Also you need to survive the dusty transfer from NCA to Serengeti on bumpy road (2 hours each way). Ngorongoro wildlife has left us behind our expectations but maybe we weren't lucky enough. The crater landscape is breathtaking. Be prepared on cold weather in the morning (below 10 degrees Celsius). Our driver Jackson has done a good job, especially when tracking the wildebeest migration. We were sharing the car with four other travellers which was fine and caused no limitations to us. The only concern was that they had different accommodations. It caused extra miles driven every morning and evening on transfers which was a little bit annoying. The accomodation in Serengeti Mawe tented camp was excellent and is well worth it. The communication with the tour operator was fluent and friendly. Online payment of reservation fee would be welcome instead of bank transfer which can't be insured. We can recommend Kili Slope especially for good value for money of our mid-range safari package.

the safari is preserved in very good shape. everybody respect the nature. weather was good during our visit. everything is good, except for the taxi drivers, who always deceive travelers for extra money, which is a big turn off.

Amazing nature and wildlife
Overall rating
4/5

My Tanzania trip was amazing! First I did a safari in Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater with loads of wildlife right next to the jeep.
Afterwards I did the Kilimanjaro Trek all the way to the summit! A really big challenge, but so much worth it! The scenery on the way to the top was breathtaking!
The people are nice and friendly and they really want to teach you the Swahili language, which I thought was great! Arusha was a little too much for me with street sellers etc. I liked Moshi better, and in Moshi you also have that stunning view of the beautiful Kilimanjaro!
