Simply beautiful
Tanzania is a great destination for safari and other activities. We first went on safari and then took the ferry to Zanzibar. Both destinations were great and we couldn’t have asked for a better trip. The only thing that could have made it better is if we would have spotted lions on our safari but sadly none were seen. But that is just nature and not Tanzanias nor our guides fault so overall an unreal experience. Highly recommend!

Beautiful scenery with lots of wildlife
We went to the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara, and Tarangire National Park. I expected to see some animals but we saw SO much more than I was anticipating! The weather was beautiful and the scenery getting from one place to another was spectacular.

Amazing Experience with Tanzania Roadside Expeditions
We went on a six-day honeymoon safari with Tanzania Roadside Expeditions. It could not have been better. We hard that it might be hard to find wildlife in January, but we were constantly surrounded by elephant, giraffes, zebras, and more. We also got within 20 feet of several lions and witnessed an incredible leopard in a tree. We got amazing photos of all of our favorite animals...plus videos of hippos fighting out in the water. It was more exciting than we had ever imagined. Most of the credit goes to our guide, Justin from Tanzania Roadside Expeditions. He was informative and also just a nice, fun guy to get to know. We can't recommend Justin highly enough. It wasn't just his engaging personality but also his friendly relations with other guides who fed him information in real-time on where animals had been spotted. He was an incredible driver, and he also just knew when it was right not to talk or chat and to just bask in the scenery and the animals. The vehicle from Tanzania Roadside Expeditions was also luxurious yet rugged. I loved standing up as we sped across the Serengeti. The hotels were also perfect...just what we needed after an active day bouncing along the roads and taking in all of the sights and sounds. Thank you to Justin and everyone at Tanzania Roadside Expeditions!

Outstanding experience - a thank you to our guide Azaria Mwanga for going above & beyond
We had a fantastic time; four of us during a 7 day Tanzanian safari and 3 days at a resort in Zanzibar. The entire experience exceeded our expectations from the wildlife we saw, the hospitality and safety at the lodgings, and our tour guide/driver Azaria Mwanga. He greatly appreciated our enthusiasm for the wildlife, sharing a wealth of knowledge of their habits, migration patterns and was willing to wait sometimes 1+ plus for us to observe an animal's behavior or stalk its prey. Azaria also gave us a lot of perspective and insight into Tanzanian history and the Masai people.
It's hard to pick out our favorite moment, but it was probably seeing a lioness and her three cubs drinking at a watering hole. But overall we were really impressed with all the wildlife sightings we saw across all three parks. The Ngorongoro crater was particularly breathtaking.
As for the camps, they were all very comfortable and we felt very well taken care of in terms of the facilities and the food (breakfast, lunch and dinners). It was super easy to get from Central Serengeti to Zanzibar, and we enjoyed our stay at Dreams by Mantis resort. Lastly, José from Soul of Tanzania's for all the coordination and planning during the busy holiday season. It felt like a true vacation with all the logistics taken care of.

To become "dada and kaka" with Tanzanian people
If you're a single woman / man and doubting whether Tanzania is safe for you, I can assure you from my own great experience that Tanzania is much safer and cleaner than many Western countries. Its people are very friendly, open and happy, even if they earn in average less than 180 $ per month. Their communication skills are very good - almost everybody knows basic English. Workers in tourism (sector that has still a lot of potential) are fluent in English and very knowledgeable. In addition to beauty of the land, food is tasty, their mangoes are unbeatable.
I did 5-day safari (Serengeti, Ngorongoro Creater, Tarangire and Manyara Lake) and 7-days Lemosho Route to Kilimanjaro (my regards goes to Kilimanjaro Heroes Adventures company). Safari offers abondance of Flora and Fauna, while Mt. Kili is adventure per se. Recommended!

Tanzania is an excellent safari destination with lots to be seen.
I visited Tanzania in December 2023 and did a 9 day safari over the Christmas and New Year period. I booked through Doreen Paradise and Wilderness, who were excellent. I was taken on a circuit of the national parks in the north of the country, and had some great wildlife viewing as well as some cultural encounters with the Maasi people.
The only real downside is that a lot of the roads are not metalized and can be rough and corrugated. So driving what can be long distances could be difficult for those with a bad back or similar condition.
Another piece of advice I would offer is always to go with a reputable travel company unless you are very confident of making your own arrangements. The bush in Tanzania is very different from European or North American city life and one could feel very lost without a ready made support network.
But I had a great time and would recommend it highly.

The greatest experience in my life so far
Tanzania is a breathtaking beautiful country. The nature there is incomparable and varies from woods, rain forests to grass land. There are so many animals to See in the parks and all the parks were very well looked after. We stayed in Arusha.
Arusha is a very international city and we had a great tour guide from African Chitah- a travel organization I can highly recommend.
Great experience!
We did a 3-day tour in Tarangire, Lake Manyara and Ngorongoro. It was amazing to see those very different parks and all the wildlife there. Out of the big 5 we saw 4 (unfortunately no leopards). Out of the 3 parks Ngorongoro was our highlight. Because we were travelling during the rain season there was a lot of water everywhere (Lake Manyara and Ngorongoro). Because of that we could not see some of the animals well. On the other hand the landscape was so incredibly green. I would definitely come back during wet season.
Our tour operator (Tanzania Go Adventures) was amazing, as well as our tour guide Amos! The company is a local one (compared with many of the big ones owned by westeners). Our experience was very pleasent. Definitely come back another time and highly recommend it.

Gorgeous
Meijo Safari was phenomenal!! They were very good with communication through the entire planning process, and created a safari itinerary that was personalized to us. They took care of all accommodations, transportation, and food. And the food was super GOOD! 😋
We did a five day safari that ended in a day trip hike in Kilimanjaro. Our guide for the safari, Herman was out of this world good! He was able to spot animals that we would’ve driven right past without his skilled vision. His driving was incredible also! There were multiple instances we saw other safari jeeps get stuck in the mud on roads Herman had just gotten us through. He was also extremely patient with us getting just the right picture, stopping to view the animals as long as we wanted to, and he was able to predict what direction the animals would head in so we could get as close as possible. There were multiple times we were able to get right next to animals, without any other jeeps in sight!
The accommodations were also wonderful with Meijo Safaris. The best by far was the Matawi Tented Camp! It was so luxurious and the staff spoiled us! They waited on us hand and foot. Eileen’s Trees Inn was also very nice in a gorgeous serene setting. And the Rhino Lodge was good also, definitely the least luxurious of the Safari stays, but I think we just got super spoiled by staying at the Matawi Tented Camp first lol. 😜
I definitely recommend booking through Meijo Safaris, they made everything so easy and enjoyable!! And be sure to book the hot air balloon ride too, it was such an incredible experience!

The most spectacular and breathtaking place on earth.
The people of Tanzania are kind, beautiful, patient. I believe they have a lot of experience with tourists, and it shows in their welcoming nature and preparedness. The towns and cities are clean and well taken care of, and it feels like every person is a gentleman with how they carry themselves. I went to Tanzania for the safaris, and even though I was only in the national parks for 4.5 days, it was the experience of a lifetime. We saw so many animals and beautiful landscapes, and our tour guides were very informative and never made us feel unsafe. It was clear how well every safari guide was adhering to safety and environmental regulations, and how they would go above and beyond to make sure we got the most out of our short stay. I also was in Zanzibar for two days with family, and I think it was stunning, truly the best ocean experience of my life. Never before have I seen a beach so clear and beautiful,
