Absolutely Amazing and Forever Unforgettable
Even months later writing this review, I still can't believe the number of animals seen while on safari in Tanzania. Absolutely amazing, stunning, and, at times, truly breathtaking. The landscape itself is beautiful and diverse. Bucket list destination indeed.

Incredible people and country
We are a family of four (two almost adult kids) and it was our first visit to Tanzania. We first spent three days in Daressalam and visited the National museum and went to Slipway shopping center which is quite touristic but nevertheless a wonderful location next to the sea and worth a visit. What we really enjoyed is visiting the Village museum. Here you get an impression on how people traditionally life. It is a place with a lot of trees and green, we were also lucky to see very fine dance and theatre performances there. In any case don't miss a visit to the museums' restaurant - it is super!
The country is very lovely with huge national parks and wildlife. Through Safari Bookings we chose Smile with us tours for a five day safari to Mikumi National Park, Udzungwa Mountains and Nyerere National Park. These parks are not as popular as Serengeti, so for a lot of the time you are alone or just with very few other cars in the park. It was incredible well organized and people are friendly and helpful with nice accommodations and so tasty food.
After the safari we went to Zanzibar and spent 10 days there. We enjoyed very much to be in locally owned hotels and did do a lot of nice little trips on our own. It is not difficult to find a guide and driver who is showing you around. We did snorkeling, visited a spice farm, did go to different beaches and of course visited stone town, I recommend to spend at least three days for this beautiful and vibrant city.
Tanzania is a wonderful country doing a lot of things right. For example to ban plastic bags. They also do a great job with the national parks trying to preserve and protect nature. The country is save, it is easy to get around with English, as a tourist you feel very welcome. We loved it and I can recommend Tanzania 100%

Very nice nature With variable animals
My expections came true in 7 day safari. The nature is beautiful and there are so Many animals. The safari was great but this january has been rainy. The rain and 3 nights camping was rough combination the lodge accomodation was ok. It has been rainy mornings, usually afternoon is not raining. Serengeti and Ngorongoro was great with do Many animals. Serengeti paths were muddy and in very poor conditions. Zanzibar is ok maybe I waited too much. The accomodations are good and not cheap. The food has been below my expectations. Overcooking has been the main problem with fish, seafood and even lobster has been overcooked. The food is ok but it could be much better. Lets see if We are lucky in the next days. This experience is after 7 days safari, one day in Arusha and 3 days in Zanzibar. Topy tours Jackson and Benedict have been highlight persons is Tanzania,Arusha. People are happy here and I feel safe in TZ. Overall good experience except food. The best food We got zaka tribe place very close that coffee lessions place and Materuni waterfalls.

My Best Safari Marvel so far
Back in 2022, I visited Tanzania and during the final days of a business trip, I found myself exploring the Tarangire and Ngorongoro as we drove through the parks, and the streets of Arusha the warmth of the Tanzanian people was evident, there was a genuine connection between humans and nature. The untouched wilderness serves as a reminder of the delicate balance between conservation and evolving landscapes.
One notable aspect of this adventure was the exceptional services of Nihapa Tours and the friendly guide Suma who accompanied us. His passion for wildlife and welcoming character added a personal touch to the safari experience, making it feel like a journey with a friend. This connection highlighted the genuine warmth and hospitality ingrained in Tanzanian culture. As a girl born in the Cayman Islands surely there is not much natural beauty that can awe me but Tanzania caught me in surprise.

A safari and beach adventure
We enjoyed our honeymoon in Tanzania. We opted for a 13 days safari and beach trip. We did 6 days on safari and the rest at Nungwi Beach in Zanzibar. Nungwi is a popular beach - we would go somewhere quieter if we could do it over. Loved our trip!

Amazing country combining wildlife, beautiful beaches, amazing local food and the friendliest people
We adored Tanzania. First we went to Zanzibar for its beautiful beaches, for swimming, snorkelling, etc and then we travelled to Tanzania mainland. We were not travelling as an organised group, but we had arranged all details from home. We had made our research and found out that SerengetiSmiles had received very good reviews and offered us the most attractive custom-made 5 day safari in the best price among other local tour operators.
Deo, our guide and driver proved to be excellent - the best we could find. We consider ourselves very lucky to have him. Not only, did he know every species of local flora and fauna, but he also explained us many many things about their migration, reproduction, habits. Moreover he told us a lot of things about African tribes, their history, civilisation and cultural practices in perfect English. We asked him and took us to a local restaurant, even though it was New Year’ s Eve, and he wasn’t obliged to do that . I personally promise that I will go back and definitely choose the same tour operator and Deo as a guide, because there’s much more to see in Tanzania.
