Amazing country, more than just the big five
Overall rating
4/5

We went to Tarangire park, Lake Manyara, Serengeti park, Ngorongoro crater, (and we ended our trip in Zanzibar).

Every single places we visited has different features, each places amazed us. We never get bored from the sceneries. We saw a lot of beautiful animals, not only the big five.. but also many beautiful birds (small & big). We were surrounded by various mammals and birds. Animals walks around and do their usual activies and completely ignore the human. We were also so lucky to also spot reptiles (like agama lizard, monitor lizard, pink spitting cobra, leopard turtle).
We stayed in lodge, and camp/tent, were great. We ate very good food. The touristic places has good facilities. Clean toilet in all parks with running water. Nothing to complain! Guides are knowledgable and friendly.
Zanzibar is such a beautiful small island surrounded by torquise water. We did Blue Safari, worth to do! Doing walking tour in Stone Town is also recommended.
Tanzania has many beautiful souvenirs. But, most of the shops do not put the price tag, the seller decide the asking price (much overpriced) the time you ask for it. So, we personally found it irritating to bargain for a descent price (not too cheap, but also not a rip-off).

Overall, we have a beautiful unforgettable memory of Tanzania trip

Tanzania is a very humbling place that really changes the way you think about life. We saw many wildlife and unforgettable sceneries. The Tanzanian people really truly know how to live life to the fullest and are some of the warmest people I've encountered.

Fantastic Safari: Great sights and accomodation

We had a great 4 day safari with Souk of Tanzania. Pius was a great guide; very knowledgeable, professional and friendly. All accommodation was great, and I would highly suggest adding The Retreat, to your recommended offerings. Food was also very good, and having hot lunches every day was a very nice touch. All the game drives were very good, and we saw loads of animals. The only comment I have about the drive itself would be to try to minimise the amount of time spent driving between Ngorongoro and Serengeti, as that road is very unpleasant. Not sure if this road is avoidable or if there is another route on the return, but I recognise it may have been necessary due to our itinerary. I would also not recommend the optional add on nature walk near the Manyara Serena. While we were asking to do a walk, this specific add-on was quite boring and uninteresting.
Otherwise great trip, and I would highly recommend Soul of Tanzania to anyone.

Safari experience in Tanzania is very unique and different from everything I have experienced so far. Wildlife is great, landscapes are magnificent. We slept in camps and didn't really know what we are getting into, so we ended up in kamps with no mobile service and electricity without previous warning. But the scenery in the morning was worth it.

We did a Safari in Tanzania, visiting Ngorongoro, Lake Manyara, Tarangire and we had a night game drive. We booked our safari through this website and with Africa-Safari, a company tied with Hotel Zanzibar. The camping place was so amazing. Everything was so minimalist that you have everything you need, have an amazing comfort and feel like you are in Africa, unlike the unnecessarily luxurious lodges in National Parks. We still really miss the way we woke up and go out of our tent, having an amazing view with refreshing scents coming out of savannah. Besides, the location is very convenient, if you don't want to move with your bags from lodge to lodge every day. Finally, the staff and the food was much more than we expected. As it is the case in most of the country, people are very friendly and solution oriented.

Coming to our guide, Gaspar, he was like a nat geo dubber, giving us amazing information as we went through the parks. We understood that a guide with good eyes is very important, and his sight was like an eagle. We used to go around, looking empty at the trees in hope for seeing a lion or a snake, without seeing anything and he would point out a tree 100 meters away, telling which animal is on it with certainty! Apart from that, he was very friendly to keep us away from the tourist traps around the village, and to take us to a local bar to have some drinks each day.

It was really an amazing experience out there, looking forward to see those places and people again!

We climbed Kilimajaro and did Safari afterwards. It is very convenient to travel within the same country. Besides, the national park and safari are famous and plenty of wildlife to look at
