Raw Beauty
We went to Tanzania for 5 days safari with Suricata Safaris and then spent another week in Zanzibar. I would say that although that it is quite pricey, it was the best holiday we ever took. We saw so much wildlife during the safari from Day 1. The scenery is just breathtaking. The accommodation was great with really good food. The people are all so nice and welcoming. In Zanzibar there wasn't much to do but the beaches were absolutely great and so unspoilt.

Tanzania was every bit as good as we had hoped.
We did not know what to expect from a Safari tour, or from Tanzania in general. For us it was a step into uncharted territory.
I’m delighted to say that the trip proved to be outstanding. Our Safari was a remarkable experience and one which I would wholeheartedly recommend. To see so much wildlife in a natural habitat was amazing.
Other than the tour we did not explore Tanzania more widely. We did stay in a hotel in Dar Es Salaam for one night at each end of our Safari. The hotel staff and the hotel itself were very good. In fact a warm and gracious welcome awaited us everywhere we visited our stayed on the mainland and then afterwards when we stayed in Zanzibar for one week. That Safari/Zanzibar combination makes for a great holiday.
Not only was the food good in most places we visited, but Swahili generosity extends to portion size as well - so you will not find yourself going hungry in Tanzania.
If you don’t visit Tanzania you are definitely missing out on a terrific experience.

It was unforgettable!
We were picked up by our driver at 4am and taken to the airport, where we were met other safari travellers waiting to board.
After our hand luggage and passports were checked, we boarded the plane for the short 30min ride to Tanzania.
We arrived directly in Nyerere national part and our driver was waiting for us and gave us a warm welcome. He asked what animals we hoped to see and much to our delight we saw them all - elephants, lions, zebras, water buffalo, hippos, crocs, wilderbeast, giraffes and so much more!
We didn't stop for lunch until around noon, so my feed back to tour operators would be please consider that a lot people are up very early for this trip, so having a flask of tea/coffee and some pastries in the jeep would be appreciated. We didn't have time at the airport to pickup food (anyways it is quite limited) so we were hungry in the morning.
Other than that, the whole trip was well organized, considerate and best of all fun! We absolutely loved it!

Beautiful country with very nice propyleeën. Hakuna matata.
We’ve been to Zanzibar and the mainland. The mainland for Safari. Stil very beautiful but compared with 4 years ago the national park ‘nyerere’ in Selous had become very touristic and commercial.
At lunchtime all the jeeps came together at the same spot and the place was crowded. The camp where we stayed however was perfect, Nice rooms and very good food!!!!

Top Life Experience
Unforgettable moments when spotting 3 Cheetahs hunting an Antilope. Seeing a freshly born elefant protected by all family members. Thousands of Buffalos and Zebras in the Serengeti. Groups of Lions while eating a Zebra. Leopards on the trees and many more animals. OUR Tour operator "Wakanda Tours and Safaris" from Arusha provided us with an ecxellent service throughout the entire journey We couldn't have made a better choice.
Was worth every penny.

Breath taking
The people of Tanzania are great. Like everywhere in the world you get some bad apples but the way the people treat life and community is beautiful. An abundance of wildlife to see, some of the greatest food I have ever had.

Tanzania is special
Tanzania is a really amazing place to visit. We did a safari for 6 days into the Serengeti and Ngorongoro, we saw absolutely everything there was to see in terms of wildlife (not sure about birds as that wasn’t our focus). Outside the parks, the country is very poor and you do see a lot of evidence of that which can be upsetting to some to see, but it’s real and shouldn’t be ignored. The country is beautiful and definitely worth your time!

Wonderful first safari experience
the safari in tanzania was a marvelous human adventure but you have to be in great shape, you spend hours locked up in the 4*4.
The locals are very welcoming and we are happy to discover their great diversity. The fauna is varied, very present although often asleep.
I was surprised by the rather cool temperature in August, the pools in the Serengeti are difficult to swim. the evening atmosphere in the camps is captivating.

Breathtaking, grounding, great energy, going back to a Pole Pole life
Our experience in Tanzania with Colours Africa Tours exceeded our expectations. We had the best guide, his passion about wildlife and Tanzania is highly contagious!
We chose the 3 days safari (Tarangire, Ngorongoro, Hot Springs in Chemka): there is not one day where our mind wasn't blown away.
The animals, the landscapes, the energy, the people...
Zanzibar was our dream, we decided to make the most of the trip and also spend these three days in Tanzania.
It was the best decision. We felt so small in front of the immensity of untouched nature. The beauty, the serenity, the majesty of the animals, the silence... it made us feel grounded, connected to the world somehow.
The people from Tanzania made us feel welcome, every day and everywhere. The human experience was incredible, we learned a lot, we shared a lot and we came back richer in the mind.
There is something about Zanzibar, coming from an island, we felt it again there: whatever you do, you will want to come back. It's magnetic, it's powerful...it's life made so much simpler.
"Pole pole" is one of the words we will remember. We took the time, we paused from our frenetic Western European lifestyle.
We will never forget about Tanzania, asante sana for the love.
