Beautiful country; beautiful people

Wow, Tanzania was way more incredible than I had anticipated. I started with a trek up Kilimanjaro with Tusker Trail (highly recommended), and I was impressed with how well-maintained the trails, huts, and facilities are there. I heard scary stories, but none of them turned out to be true. Standing atop a 19,000' peak is a monumental achievement for me. It should be on every avid hiker's list, in my opinion.

After my trek I went on safari with Suricata (also recommended). It was other-worldly! You don't get that close to the wild animals in a zoo! And, thankfully, they are in their own home -- not forced (or drugged) into submission in a tiny cage. I went to Tarangire (great for elephants!), Ngorongoro (rhinos!!), and Serengeti (everything!!!). The birds are abundant and colorful. Lilac-breasted roller -- oh my! Secretary birds, bustards, water birds, and raptors. My guide was very knowledgeable and congenial.

The people in Tanzania are beautiful, too. While they may be poorer than many of us in the western world, they are a happy and friendly bunch, always with a hearty "Jambo!" and carefree "hakuna matata". I wish it didn't take so long to get there from where I live, but it was worth every hour spent in airports and jets to see such a beautiful place.

Tanzania is beautiful, surreal, and full of life.

Our safari was through Northeren and Central Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire National Park, Foothills of Kilimanjaro. We were there during the great migration of the wildebeest. The Wildebeest crossing the Mara River, which marks Tanzania's border with Kenya. Everywhere we traveled there were large populations of all kinds of animals. The safari was better than our expectations and we would highly recommend the trip to everyone.

Despite the wife being extremely ill(2days in bed), it was an experience worth listing in our bucket list.
Ngorongoro was definitely the highlight

I like the whole trip, 4 days is definitely enough for me. I don't see there is a reason to have a longer trip. We are quite lucky to see all the rare animals including leopard and rhinos.

Take away food was like meh, so don't expect too much on the lunch side.

Bounty beaches and amazing wildlife
Overall rating
5/5

My family and I (ages 2-66) had an amazing time in Tanzania.
Starting with a week on Zanzibar, we fell in love with both Stonetown to the West and the beautiful blue ocean and bounty beaches to the East.
We then flew to Arusha for a four day safari with Sopai, our incredible tour operator, with the best guide ever, Patrick. He seemed to have a 6th sense about finding animals - we literally saw everything we dreamed of! From chetas, lions and servals (yes, plural) to hippos, zebras and everything you hope to see while on safari.
We went to Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro crater and lake Manyara. All four places were very different and very scenic, and it was amazing to experience both the lush bush and jungles as well as the dry savannah, a true “African dream”.
We also really enjoyed the safari jeep with a functional fridge for cool beverages and the fact that you could charge multiple devices and cameras at the same time within the jeep!
To have the best experience though, it’s important to have patience and internalize the local motto of “hakuna matata” (i.e. relax, everything is going to be okay), bring a Mastercard for easier access to US Dollars and, when traveling with children, either require a child seat in advance or accept the lack there of (in any mode of transportation). All in all we had a wonderful trip with its people being as wonderful as the country itself!

Most beautiful country and home to the world wonder Serengeti

We were on a Great Migration Safari in Tanzania with Safarisolestours.com, a great tour operator in Tanzania, and had an amazing time in this beautiful country. Tanzania is incredibly diverse. There are savannahs, deserts, jungles, mountains and some of the most beautiful landscapes on the planet. Plus the unique experience of the great animal migration, which is truly unique in the Serengeti. Another highlight are the beautiful beaches and islands, such as Zanzibar, which invite you to relax. You can come back to Tanzania again and again and experience something new every time.

Amazing wildlife, friendly people, beautiful beaches!!

We took an 8 day/7 night safari with SafariSoles followed by 5 days on Zanzibar. Both were amazing, 100% positive experiences!! SafariSoles was a fantastic company that let us design our own safari with very nice and comfortable hotels and tent cabins at an incredibly reasonable price. Our driver and guide - Kennedy - was also fantastic. He knew where to look for wildlife, when to stay and watch, and when to rush to another location to catch something rare. He was very knowledgeable about the wildlife and the ecosystems and just a great all around guide. We also loved Zanzibar, both Stonetown and Matemwe Beach. We stayed at Emerson Spice hotel in Stonetown and Villa Kiva on Matemwe Beach. Both were great. We highly recommend the fish tasting menu at Emerson Spice's rooftop restaurant. It was really delicious and an incredible bargain. Villa Kiva is also great. Right on the beach with beautiful views and gardens, lots of nice places to relax, great food in the restaurant, and very helpful at arranging a dolphin boat/snorkeling strip. We loved Tanzania and would happily go back.

We had an exceptional time. Our tour guide Florid and Safari Soles planned everything.

We enjoyed the upscale tenting places we stayed. Zebras and elephants in our front yard

The animals of course made the trip. We even saw a baby giraffe being born
