We had the priviledge of spotting lions 15 minutes after we had started our Tarangire safari trip. We also saw lots and lots of elephants. Also, the vegetation (with baobabs) is very beautiful and adds a lot to the scenery.

Loved the accommodations (Tarangire Safari Lodge) - don't let the description of 'tents' bother you - they were as good as or better than a regular hotel room! Great food, pool, people + LOTS of wildlife throughout the park and near the lodge.

Tarangire was also quite amazing. The Baobab trees really are cool. We saw lots of giraffe and ostrich here. As well as a momma cheetah and cubs. Lots of gazelle and impala, and many pumba (warthogs). Beautiful weather and beautiful scenery.

We saw boababs and lions there. The place to have lunch is very clean and comfortable but there are a lot of monkeys stealing your lunch. Bathrooms were very clean too.

A typical first stop on the way to the Serengeti, Tarangire is a great first stop! Can get your first taste of many different kinds of East African wildlife as well as see the Baobob tree!

This place was our first stop and there was so much action right from the start. We got some amazing photos here. While not as beautiful as the crater, or as vast as the Serengeti, it was still a great place to see wildlife up close.
