Stayed at Kambaku Safari Lodge. Enjoyed all aspects of the lodge, excellent guide and tracker. Lovely accommodation, food and staff. Great wildlife viewing. Our last morning we spent about 20 minutes watching a pride of lions with 3 small cubs being playful, was a wonderful sighting.

It was a dry season for us, so the bush was very interesting and little flowered, this made it possible for us to see the big 7!

Winter safari, so the bush is dry and water levels are low. The bush is not beautiful but the animals and the setting is brilliant. Being a private game reserve means fewer vehicles who can go off track so you get a better safari experience. We saw pretty much everything on our wish list and so much more besides, combined with a brilliant guide and tracker in fantastic bush accommodation

Timbavati strength was it had a lot of lion prides and it had rhinos with horns. It had an incredible amount of elephants and giraffes. It's weakness was it lacked hippos.

This area is a little dry so the landscape is more sparse than Sabi Sand. Loved our accommodations at Kings Camp, amazing service, trackers and guides. Saw all the big 5.

We saw a lot of animals at Timbavati - all of the Big Five. Our guide and tracker worked well together to get us the best viewing opportunities.

We stayed at Simbavati River Lodge (part of Timbavati) and were blown away by the luxury of our rooms, the amazing service (they catered to our every need), the food (we are vegan, and they totally accommodated!) and the knowledge of our guide (Mbongene) and tracker - who took risks for himself by tracking on foot a pride of lions, just so we could see them up close. I highly recommend Simbavati to anyone, and would love to return with our son for more safari!
