During this height of its activity (3.1–2.6 million years ago), it is thought to have risen to a height of 6,500m. There are 12 remnant glaciers on the top of the mount, all receding rapidly, and four secondary peaks that sit at the head of the u-shaped glacial valleys. This climbing tour takes you to three peaks: Batian [the highest], Nelion and Lenana.
