This is combination of Mid-range accommodation outside the Park plus camping in the heart of the Park. Nyerere NP (Formerly Selous GR) is the largest National Park in Tanzania which covers the total area of 30,893 km2. The park was established in 1922 as a game reserve known as Selous; before being gazetted as a National Park in 2019. The original name recognizes Englishman Sir Frederick Selous, a famous big game hunter, who died in 1917 while fighting against the Germans during First World War.
