Bwindi Impenetrable Forest situated in Kanungu district in South Western Uganda, is a sanctuary for Colobus monkeys, chimpanzees, and many birds such as hornbills and turacos. Most importantly though Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park is notable for its mountain gorillas, half of the world's population of critically endangered mountain gorillas can be found in Bwindi in four different sectors of Buhoma, Ruhijja, Rushaga, and Nkuringo.
