The sanctuary is home to a diverse array of wildlife supporting many game species in the plains, perfectly adapted to a semi-desert environment. The reticulated giraffe, the rare greater kudu, the horned beisa oryx, Günther’s dik-dik, and the beautiful blue-legged ostrich are found here all year round. The Big Five (elephant, lion, Cape buffalo, rhino, and leopard), are found here. Birdlife is plenty with several species of plover, bustard, and birds of prey.
