Oldonyo Lengai is a Maasai name meaning the “Mountain of God” is an active volcanic mountain in Eastern of Rift Valley and the only active volcanic mountain in the world that produce Natrocarbonatite Lava. Its approximately 4 Hours drives from Arusha to Oldoinyo Lengai Mountain. Oldoinyo Lengai rises at the parched rift valley floor to a height of 2886 meter/9469b foot. You start the steep 6 hours climb around midnight with the goal reaching crater rim for sunrise.
