Each year during the Great Migration, huge herds of wildebeest & their entourage congregate on one side of Mara River. It may take a while (sometimes up to a few days) before a brave individual dares to cross the river, the rest will then follow suit. More than 1.5 million wildebeest trek from Serengeti to Masai Mara and back in search of fresh grazing. Their crossing of Mara River is the climax of this odyssey, a spectacle filled with drama, death and endeavour. The best of safari experiences.
