The Great Migration is a natural phenomenon where every year, over one million wildebeest embark on a circular journey following the seasonal rains, across the Serengeti Plains. Their grazing and trampling of grass helps new grasses to grow, while their waste acts as fertilizer for the soil. Once the calving season is over, the wildebeest start to move northwards towards the central Serengeti and westerly, three nights are spent in the Serengeti to witness this natural wonder.
