Mount Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in Africa with an elevation of 5,895 meters. The hike in this tour follows the Marangu route which begins at the Marangu gate and ends at Mandara huts which is a distance of 2700 meters. This is the first leg of the Marangu route which takes you through the woods and the rain forest where you will be able to take in the eucalyptus trees and bird species and you may be able to spot colobus monkeys if you are lucky.
