The Marangu route or “Coca-Cola” route is now the most popular route on Kilimanjaro. This is the only route where overnight stays in huts take place. This makes Marangu a good option for hiking during the rainy season. The route begins in the southeast of Kilimanjaro. The journey there takes approximately 1.5 hours. On the well-trodden path through all climate zones - from tropical rainforest to eternal ice - you will be treated to picturesque African landscapes.
