Machame route is also known as the Whiskey Route, Machame Route is by far the most popular and our personal favorite among the Kilimanjaro Climbing Routes. Almost half the climbers use this route each year for their Kilimanjaro expedition. It approaches the mountain from the south and leads up the southern slope, and then follows the Mweka descent route.
