In southern Tanzania, on the northwestern side of Nyerere National Park, lies two small, quite offbeat national parks, namely Mikumi and Udzungwa Mountains NP. Mikumi NP is easily accessible by road and it supports a large number of elephants, giraffes, buffalos, zebras and others. Moreover, the Udzungwa safari is most exciting and gives you the chance to do hiking and trekking while enjoying the view of the Sanje Waterfalls on the mountain. The safari starts at 07:30 am from Dar es Salaam.
