Queen Elizabeth National Park is understandably Uganda’s most popular tourist destination. It is also home to ten primate species, including chimpanzees and over 600 species of birds. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park lies in southwestern Uganda on the edge of the Rift Valley. More famously, this “impenetrable forest” also protects an estimated 400 mountains gorillas, roughly half of the world’s population, including several habituated groups, which can be tracked.
