This short safari is ideal for those who have little time but still want to experience Africa’s big game animals. Mikumi is the nearest national park to Dar es Salaam. With its size of about 3,200 sq. km, it gives you a chance to see big mammals like elephant, buffalo, giraffe, eland, impala, hyena, jackal, lion, and leopard. It is also home to more than 400 bird species including aquatic and migratory birds. The presence of pools offers you the chance to see crocodiles and hippos.
