Mikumi National park has characteristic compared with of that of Serengeti. The Park consist of Savanna dotted with acacia, tamarinds, baobabs and rare palm species with a spectacular formation of mountain Rubeho and Uluguru Mountains. The fauna is characterized of African savanna full of animals like Elephants, Zebras, impala, eland, kudu, black antelopes, baboons, wildebeests and buffaloes. An artificial pools full of hippos on the north and more than 400 different birds species are spotted.
