Nyerere National Park was also known as Selous Game Reserve is the largest wildlife sanctuary in Tanzania with largest Rufiji river which is a home of crocodiles and hippopotamus. The park has a high level of biodiversity with most iconic African species inhibiting in the area in large number including lions, leopards, giraffe, herds of wildebeest, zebra, black rhino, impala, Thomson’s gazelles, spotted hyenas, countless birds, mammals, reptiles, fishes and African wild dogs.
