The journey typically takes 7 days but can be shortened to 6 days by skipping Karanga Valley and proceeding directly to Barafu. The round-trip distance is approximately 62 km (37 miles). To enhance comfort, a mobile pristine toilet is provided, eliminating the need to use public restrooms during the trek.
