Each year, over 2 million wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles traverse the Serengeti and Masai Mara ecosystem in search of green pastures and safe calving grounds. The prime time to observe the dramatic river crossings occurs from mid-June to August, when the wildebeest migrate from the Serengeti in Tanzania to the Masai Mara in Kenya.
