Payment:
A deposit of 40% of total safari cost is required at the time of booking confirmation and balance being payable on/ few days before safari start date.
Full payment upon booking confirmation are also acceptable.
You may choose to pay online by credit / debit card through our secure online payment system. Please note a 3.5% merchant surcharge applies for card payments. Visa/MasterCard/American Express accepted.
Alternatively, you can make the payments by bank / wire transfer where you are required to include the bank charges incurred on transaction.

Please note that our company bank accounts are located in KENYA only. Leisure Escapes
Safaris Ltd does not own bank accounts in any other City/Country outside Kenya.

Safari Tour Cancellation Charges:
Leisure Escapes Safaris booking / cancellation conditions are determined by the fact that once hotel, Safari lodge/ camps, local domestic airlines or services are booked on your behalf, we shall incur a cancellation fee if we are required to cancel the booking. We try to keep such cancellation charges to a minimum and they apply as follows calculated as a percentage of the total price:
Cancellation up to 60 days prior to commencement of the safari: 5% administration fee
Cancellation up to 45 days prior to commencement of the safari: 20% cancellation charges / Peak season Safaris: 60% cancellation charges
Cancellation up to 30 days prior to commencement of the safari: 40% cancellation charges / Peak season Safaris: 100% cancellation charges apply, Zero refund
Cancellation up to 15 days prior to commencement of the safari: 60% cancellation charges / Peak season Safaris: 100% cancellation charges apply, Zero refund
Cancellation up to 14 days or less before commencement of safari – Zero refund, 100% cancellation charges apply.
Refunds due to you in the event of safari cancellation can only be credited to the original credit / debit card used in making of initial payment, if within 6-months of paying. If the period is longer than 6-months refunds will be made directly to the traveller’s bank account.
Peak Season: 1st July to 31st October, 20th December to 5th January and Easter holidays.
NB: Same applies to reduce in length of stay or reduced in numbers.

Safari price:
Included are all expenses in respect of safari vehicle, driver guide as per itinerary, meals while on Safari, accommodation, entrance fees to National parks and game reserves.

Safari transport:
Tour cars, pop up top Safari minivans, pop up top 4×4 Land Cruiser Jeeps will be provided depending on the tour program/itinerary and number of tour participants. The company reserves the right to employ the services of same standard sub-contractors.

Safari accommodation:
Based on two persons sharing in a twin room / tent. Single rooms are provided at an additional cost (single room supplement). Hotel /lodges / tented camps are named as an indication of category and accommodation may be reserved at same standard hotels/lodges /tented camps based on availability. In this case, you shall be notified on your safari accommodation in advance.

Seasonal Factors and Resort Facilities:
Some factors are not under our control and early and late in the season some tourist facilities may not operate. Likewise, swimming pools have to be cleaned and sometimes emptied and maintenance work can affect the availability of certain amenities.
Public holidays and religious festivals throughout the year (particularly Ramadan) may have an impact on the ambience of a destination and the reliability of shops, banks and other facilities.

Alteration to tours:
The company reserves the right to alter arrangements or cancel the operation of a scheduled tour should conditions necessitate.
It also reserves the right to decline to accept or retain any person as a member of any tour at any time, in which case an equitable amount will be refunded.
Prices are based on tariffs and other operational costs prevailing at the time of printing.

Wild Animals:
Please be aware that on any African safari, your clients may be taken into close contact with wild animals. Attacks by wild animals are rare, but no safari into the African wilderness can guarantee that this will not occur.
Neither Leisure Escapes Safaris Ltd, nor its employees, nor its suppliers can be held responsible for any injury or incident on the safari. Please note that many safari camps are unfenced and animals are able to wander through the camps at all times of the day and night.

Important -Travel Insurance:
It is of importance that each Safari / Tour member in your party has adequate and comprehensive travel insurance covering cancellation or curtailment, as well as medical expenses, emergency travel, personal accident, personal baggage and money loss.
This should be arranged at the time of confirmation and deposit payment to cover you for cancellation from the time of booking. Please note that it is your responsibility to take out insurance, with the cost for your account, and that Leisure Escapes Safaris Ltd cannot be liable in any way whatsoever should you fail to do so.
If you are coming to East Africa from overseas, we request that you provide us with your insurance provider’s name, together with the policy number and the insurance company’s emergency contact telephone number in case of any emergency whilst you are traveling.

Liability:
The company and its agents act only as agents of the tours, transport, etc. and shall not be liable for injury, delays, loss or damage in any manner.
The company liability to passengers carried in its own vehicle is governed by the laws of the country in which the tour takes place and no other country.
The company reserves the right to employ subcontractors for all or part of the services.
All claims are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of the country in which the actions arises.
While all precautions are taken to ensure the passenger’s safety and enjoyment on these tours, Leisure Escapes Safaris Ltd and/or its agents and suppliers shall not be liable for death, injury, delay, loss or damage arising from any cause and in any manner whatsoever or change of itinerary or act, including any acts of terrorism, acts of God and government, neglect, accident, error or omission caused by any of these suppliers or independent contractors, their employees, representatives or any event beyond the control of Leisure Escapes Safaris Ltd.
All baggage is carried at the passenger’s own risk, and Leisure Escapes Safaris Ltd reserves the right to exclude certain baggage at its discretion. The company shall also not be held responsible for any loss or damages to luggage.
The airlines used to provide flights within Kenya are subject to international air conventions limiting their liability; the limitations of liability are contained on the reverse side of the airline ticket and form part of the terms and conditions of this package.

Issues/Complaints on Safari:
Any complaints that may arise during safari travel should be communicated immediately or as it happens, to Leisure Escapes safaris Ltd (in writing via email/whatsapp) for on-site attention, verification and immediate correction.
A summary of the complaints (in case not addressed on site) shall be communicated to the company in writing within 30 days of completion of Safari tour for necessary action.
The complaints/issues raised shall be investigated and addressed within 30 days of formal complaint/issue receipt.
