The Ann van Dyk Cheetah Centre, located in South Africa's North West Province near the Magaliesberg mountain range, was the world’s first sustainable cheetah breeding facility and the first Cites-approved cheetah breeding centre. Its goal is to maintain a viable genetic pool of cheetahs and African wild dogs for reintroduction into the wild. The centre also breeds other endangered species like African wild cats, Suni, Duikers, Riverine Rabbits, and rare vultures, including the Egyptian Vulture.
