Another moniker for the Marangu Route is the "tourist" or "Coca-Cola" route. That is the easiest and quickest way to get to the top. Moreover, this is the only route that provides cosy beds at each campsite together with solar-lit sleeping shelters. The huts are shared and the bunks come with a pillow and sponge mattress. While six days is the ideal amount of time to complete this route for acclimatization, most people finish it in five.
