Close to 100 mammal species, including large forest hogs and about 606 types of birds, dwell within Queen Elizabeth National Park. Spend time at the magnificent Mweya peninsula, and marvel at its beautiful waterfront. The isolated Ishasha sector is for the resident tree-climbing lions, and the Maramagambo forest is a habitat for an attractive diversity of monkeys and birds. The crater lakes hold thousands of beautiful flamingoes, while the Kyambura Gorges are home to chimpanzees.
