Lemosho begins at Londorossi Gate on Kilimanjaro's west side. Opened in the 2000s to reduce traffic on Marangu and Machame routes, it provides access to the mountain’s western slopes. Along with Rongai, it's one of the most remote routes. Reaching the trailhead takes 3-4 hours from Moshi or 5-6 from Arusha, raising Lemosho trip costs. Known for its scenery, Lemosho is often praised by experienced climbers as the most picturesque route on Kilimanjaro.
