Mount Meru is located in the heart of Arusha National Park, about 50 miles west of Mount Kilimanjaro. Standing at 4,565 meters, it is an imposing volcanic peak that offers a fantastic trekking experience. This climb serves as an excellent preparation for Mount Kilimanjaro due to its altitude acclimatization benefits and trekking distances. As Mount Meru is home to a wide range of wildlife, hikers are required to be accompanied by a Ranger for safety throughout the journey.
