Nakupenda in Swahili means 'I love you'. The Nakupenda Sand Bank is the most beautiful beach on Zanzibar which is close to Stone Town. The environment of Nakupenda is very exotic and natural. You relax on the sandbank right in the middle of the ocean. The prison island was built in 1893 as a prison for the resistant slaves, letter on it was used as the quarantine camp. The island is now popular for its endangered species of giant land tortoise.
