The Marangu Route, often referred to as the Coca-Cola Route, is popular due to shorter duration and the availability of permanent sleeping huts at the campsites. The summit night at Kibo Hut involves a steep climb that takes you past Gilman’s Point to reach Uhuru Peak. Notably, it is the only route on Kilimanjaro where the ascent and descent paths are shared, resulting in increased foot traffic along the trail.
