Murchison Falls National Park, located in northwestern Uganda, is one of the country's most famous and largest national parks. Spanning approximately 3,840 square kilometers, the park is bisected by the Victoria Nile, which plunges over the dramatic Murchison Falls and creates a stunning natural spectacle as it flows toward Lake Albert. The park's namesake and centerpiece, Murchison Falls, is where the Nile River narrows from 50 meters to a mere 7 meters wide and cascades down a 43-meter drop.
