Located at the shores of Lake Victoria, Mabamba wetlands are a true birders Haven in Uganda. The island that can be accessed by boat from Nakiwogo Landing site while in Entebbe is covered by papyrus and other wetland vegetations and is a home to several bird species. A canoe ride at Mabamba wetlands gives visitors a rewarding and memorable encounter with the rare shoebill stork, as well as other several endemic and migratory bird species.
