Mikumi has been designed purposely to suit the traveling demands of visitors from mainly Dar es Salaam. It can be termed as a weekend holiday whereby one can utilize his weekend for this tour. Animals move between Selous, Kilombero, and Mikumi National Parks each year depending on the season of the year. Animals like wild dogs, lions, elephants, buffaloes, and zebras migrate to/from the northern part of the park into Mikumi National Park. This park is surrounded by the wild throughout the year!
