I went bananas about Uganda
I just spent ten days in Uganda, courtesy of Grassrootz with Patrick as driver/guide. Over 2000km travelled, enough to give an excellent overview of the country. Was met with friendliness everywhere and widespread English-speaking, a benefit to an anglophone monoglot. Lush countryside but the climate was comfortable for a European, one being over 1000m altitude most of the time. Much of the wildlife was quite different from adjacent countries such as Kenya and Tanzania. One could get close up and personal with wildlife, ranging from white rhinos to chimpanzees to banded mongooses. The Murchison Falls in full flow were awe-inspiring. The Kazinga Channel was notable for its plethora of animals and birds. Two of my stays were in tented camps, with private facilities, which provided extra intimacy with the natural environment. But at all stays there was an abundance of wildlife, ranging from butterflies to elephants. My guide/driver Patrick was excellent, invariably courteous and well able to answer any questions. I was a single traveller but never felt unsafe. I also came to learn the importance of bananas to the local economy!

Uganda is worth visiting
My friends and I spent 12 days in Uganda in July. This was our first time to travel to the country. It is worth visiting. The people are polite and friendly. The sceneries are beautiful. There are also full of wild lives. The most unforgettable experience for me was the chimpanzees trekking and the gorilla trekking. Although it consumed rather lot of my energy, the sweat and the effort was paid off when I saw these beautiful creatures. I am also happy to see how Uganda people protect the wide lives and how they help the local community via tourist industry.
The lodges I stayed are also wonderful. Most of them are with very helpful and friendly staff. I enjoyed very much the stay in Uganda. I must not forget to mention Tubale Safaris, the travel agency. Their service is very professional and the staff are very responsible. My friends and I were taken good care of during our stay in Uganda. Our needs were addressed in a very responsible and timely manner. Ayub Munowa was our driver guide. He is amazing. He is very caring, responsible and professional. He was very sensitive to our needs and prepared us well for all the activities. He is very well-organized and plans everything well. We are so blessed to have him with us and thank him for showing us around as well as telling us a lot about the wide lives in Uganda.

It's an excellent country to see the whole range of animals including primates
Our highlight was definitely the gorilla trecking. It was amazing to so those huge primates from very close and oberve them eating, playing and commuinicating. It was amazing how clean all the accomodations were on the whole trip. People are friendly, talkative and welcoming. We felt safe on the whole trip. We will come back soon again.

Uganda is an unrivaled destination to see mountain gorillas, chimpanzees, elephants,&hippopotamus's.
The people of Uganda were amazingly hospitable. Dav Safaris provided an excellent 7-Day safari to several major National Parks where we saw a wide variety of large animals and birds.
The highlight for us was trekking mountain gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. We will never forget watching this family of gorillas led by a very large silverback gorilla for an hour.
I highly recommend Dav Safaris to anyone seeking to experience the beauty of Uganda and variety of large animals in the wild.

A new adventure every day
We toured Uganda for 17 days mid range accommodation. We took many game drives, launch trip on Kazinga Channel, gorillas and Chimpanzee trekking, plus visted Lake Bunyonyi and local villages. We had the most amazing holiday with many animal sightings. Accommodation was very good and food excellent.
We felt very safe whilst in Uganda.
Uganda represents great value when compared to other African Countries
Our main TIP for other travellers is not to leave any money in your room or unattended. Even if it is locked in a bag, unfortunately we had some money stolen from a locked bag which was opened and relocked so it was not evident we had money stolen.
