We had the most beautifull experience in Uganda! In 3 weeks, we enjoyed Sipi Falls, Kidepo NP, Queen Elisabeth NP, the magnificent Murchison Park and the Falls (never seen such a stunning and powerfull Fall!), Kibale NP, with an unforgettable Chimpansee tracking!! We enjoyed a boatride on the Nile, a boatride at the Kasingachannel, we will never forget the stunning Gorillatracking, it was amazing!! Our last 2 days we stayed at M’Buro Lake NP.
we saw many buffalo’s, Lions, lions with cobs, a Leopard with a kob, snakes, hyena’s, girafs, zebra’s, Topi’s, impala’s, elands, elephants, hartebeests, lot’s of hippo’s, many, many little and very big birds, ….
We visited a school
We visited a coffee plantation and a banana plantation and we went to a community centre for women, we had also a tour with the Batwa people
The weather in september was very good, warm but everyday a little or a less little shower.
The local people were very friendly.
The roads are very bad, you definatly need a 4wheeldrive and a local driver.
We had our trip with Azas Safaris and everything was well organised and we had the best driver/ranger!
We hope to come back!

Uganda is an underrated destination. I had a wonderful time. The people were so kind and I felt completely safe. I visited Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, Kibale Natinal Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park, and the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. I had top tier, once in a lifetime animal encounters at each location. Go!

Stunning country, full of explosive and lush nature. Wonderful!

Uganda is a wonderful country, full of explosive and lush nature. We saw many animals (elephants, giraffes, hyenas, lions, leopards, antelopes, zebras, hippos, buffaloes, all types of birds) and the encounter with chimpanzees and gorillas was truly exciting. We found the food good and basically cheap and the people were friendly and smiling. The rangers and guides were kind and very knowledgeable. Definitely one of the most beautiful trips of my life!

Fun trip, great people, beautiful country, ride bodas at your own risk!

Peak Cruise Safaris was able to schedule my safari at late notice and did and excellent job.

Jen picked me up from the airport and Abdul was there early the next morning to begin the journey.

Abdul with Peak Cruise Safaris did an excellent job guiding the tour through Murchison Falls. In two short days we saw plenty of elephants and giraffe, and even spotted some hyena and a leopard. He also found some great spots to eat and get coffee on the way there and back. Try the offal!

Abdul has been doing this for over twenty years, and is very good at what he does, but be prepared for fast driving including through pedestrian areas. Winding through swarms of boda-bodas can be a shock for anyone not used to driving in congested cities in developing countries.

If you choose to ride the bodas they are fun and affordable but certainly a risky endeavor. Wild Coffee in Kampala is a fun place and apparently does slam poetry on Mondays. The zoo in Entebbe is a great spot to get up close to any animals you may have missed on Safari. (They even have tigers so you can tell people you saw a tiger in Africa).

Overall, Uganda and Peak Cruise Safaris is Highly recommended.

We were in Uganda for an internship and wanted to book a Safari last minute - therefore this website was great! We found the perfect match and the company managed to Organise the Start of our trip within to days!
The Country itself was really beautiful and we were surprised about the variety of the different National parks within Savannah and Rainforest. We felt safe the whole journey with our Safari-Guide and the park-Rangers. The weather was still good in the beginning of august, but it started to rain in the end of august(->Tip: visit country before rain-season). All in all it was a really lovely trip and we enjoyed it!
(One last tip: look for a proper car- the roads are really bumpy nearly everywhere and the “african-massage”, like our guide called it, isn’t that enjoyable after some hours of driving)

"The Pearl of Africa" is an accurate description of the country and its diversity of nature.

I traveled for 8 days with Meddy from "Bright Safaris Uganda" through the country, which is a tour operator that I would definitely recommend!
The tour was great and quite adventurous, which was exactly what I wanted for the safari. Especially the wildwater rafting on the Nile in Jinja and the stay in the Kidepo National Park were one of my greatest traveling experiences so far!
Meddy planned the tour according to my level of fitness and my wishes and it turned out great.z
In Uganda you can experience a variety of different landscapes, an interesting culture, nice and friendly people and of course a lot of animals. I visited Kidepo and Murchison Falls National Park and they both were amazing! But I heard from other tourists, that Queen Elizabeth National Park is also worth a visit, especially if you want to do gorilla trekking (for which my budget was sadly not high enough).
As I was traveling in september, the raining season was already starting, so depending on your tavel plans you should consider bringing both sun screen and and a good rain coat.
In terms of safety I never had any issues in Uganda. You are accompanied by your guide and the Ugandans are mostly welcoming and friendly too. Still, you will be stared at a lot and some people will ask you for money or want you to buy something from them, especially if you are white.
All in all I had a great time traveling through Uganda and I hope you will enjoy it as much as I did!

Our 7 days highlight tour with Speke Uganda Holidays was truly unforgettable.
They made us feel safe the whole time and we got to see so much - volcanic craters, local towns with banana, tea and coffee plantations, the big 5, chimpanzees and gorillas. It was an action packed 7 days.
All of the hotels were incredible - we particularly loved Elephant Plains near Queen Elizabeth National Park.

I was born & raised in Uganda. Though living abroad for many years, had forget how beutiful my country is. Wild life is breathtaking if you are lucky to see all the CATS. We managed to see a leopard within100m it was the best experience with my grand kids. The new road from Masindi town, thru the park makes the trip worth while. Safety is no quastion where ever in the park you are. The only issue is opening hours in the park. If your stay is outside the park, They open at 6.30 & it takes tyme with the paper work. By the tyme you start off to the game drive, most of the CATS have already hunted, eaten and asleep. Plse note: Its very very rare to see a Lion after 7 otherwise the trip was even more fruitful visiting the Rhino sanctuary on the way to Masindi.

We’ve been to Tanzania (and associated islands) and Kenya a number of times and Uganda offers something different - abundant primates! We spent 10 days on a driven loop on a private tour by Crystal Safaris. Some long drives but well worth doing then because you get to see daily life. Uganda has the lot and we stayed in lodges by a cater lake, on a rock in the middle of a plain and in a rainforest. Throw in gorilla, chimpanzee and golden monkey tracking (a level of fitness required and you get within touching distance of them all) plus river and lake wildlife spotting (hippos, elephants, lions, crocs, birds a plenty etc) there is much to do and see. Our route was Entebbe, Kibale, Queen Elizabeth National Park, Bwindi, Lake Mburo and Entebbe. Very easy place for an English speaker to travel and always felt very safe.
