The friendliest and colourful wildlife I have ever seen!

I went on safari with my girlfriend in Uganda in December.
It was definitely the best way to explore the animals and the landscape there. We were able to see much more and much closer to the wildlife than we expected. The accommodation met western standards and was always fine.
We would love to go again!

Uganda is a must visit travel destination, I visited 5 National Parks, saw amazing animals, primates and enjoyed great cultural experiences. I have been to over 28 countries and Uganda is close to the top of list. I am so thankful to LuLu Safari and my amazing guide Sam and Elvis for a safe and enjoyable trip. 🙏🏽

VISIT UGANDA, forget the rest. Lots of animals, beautiful countryside, and welcoming people

Unbelievable experience!!! Don't be afraid to go to Uganda, with a few stipulations. Do NOT go anywhere near the Sudan border. Don't just go and be put in what we saw were labeled tourist vehicles. Some of these were mini vans without a pop up roof and had many people inside. Others had pop up roofs but usually had 6 people crammed inside with everyone trying to get their great safari shots. You definitely will want to go with a tour company that will have you in a 4X4 vehicle (ours was a Toyota Land Cruiser) with a tour guide. Not just a driver. A guide, like the one we had, knows the country, the people, the animals and the history. Karim, our guide, with Home To Africa Company was nothing short of excellent. Fellow guides communicate with each other letting others know what they had seen or didn't see. Otherwise, we may not have seen the elusive leopard. Be sure to ask how your tour company books people. Will you be with people you don't know? (red flag for us) Home To Africa does not mix groups. They know different people have different interests. You don't want to be unhappy with fellow travelers, especially those who may not be as prompt a traveler as you are.

We did the 10 day- Big 5 Tour. Rhino sanctuary- A+, Murchinson NP- A, top of the falls- A-, boat trip on the Nile near falls- A-, Bugodi wetlands and community visit- B+, Queen Elizabeth NP- A-, Kazinga Channel boat tour- A-, chimp trekking-B, gorilla trekking A++, Lake Mauro NP- A.

What a nice surprise

We (Father with two teenagers) headed of to a nine day private Safari in Uganda to see the Gorillas. And we did not get disappointed, we spent an hour with them, an amazing experience.

However, we where surprised and charmed by the overall Safari experience we had. Wildlife in abundance (organised between the different parcs) and close up - a lot on foot. So Uganada is not only a Gorilla and Schimpanzee destination, but big 5 country. Lots of elephants, hippos (grazing), buffalo, giraffes, white rhinos (in a sanctuary but not to be missed), lions, leopards, gorillas, schimpanzees, etc., etc.

The lodges were good and authentic (Mwyea your Out of Africa lodge, Paraa nicely on the NIle River bank, Kimbali Forest Camp a mid-range absolute fair value, Rushuga Gorilla Camp and luxury Kimbari Lodge), food well prepared and people very kind and accomodating.

Our trip was organised by Tuable Safari. Jamal was our local guide and driver. Excellent Safari vehicle, very knowledgable guide. There was a mix-up with one of the lodges, but it got sorted out. The organisation was spot on and I can highly recommend the tour operator.

Due to the cost of the gorilla and schimpanzee permits Uganda is not a cheap Safari destnation, but absolutely worthwile. Overall you find a top offering at a fair price.

Our recent trip to Uganda could not have met our expectations more. The country has well deserved the title of ‘pearl of Africa’, the country is impressive, the landscapes are spectacular and having an endangered wonder like the gorilla cannot be a greater attraction to visit it. If you add to that the possibility of seeing chimpanzees in their habitat, lions, hyenas, leopards, etc....

On the downside is the infrastructure, access to Biwindi Park is poor, something I think the country needs to improve. Nor is it perceived that the money paid to enter the park goes directly to the local communities.

Regarding the operator, I can only recommend it highly: East African Jungle Safaris, Ruth was attentive to all our needs and the accommodations are of excellent quality, the food too and the driver/guide assigned was very good too, thank you very much Ruth!!!!

A beautiful country with exceptional service industry and private wildlife encounters

We travelled through Uganda and Tanzania over three weeks. The time we spent in Uganda was incredible. The country is a lot quieter to travel through, which makes the game drives feel intimate when you have the wildlife all to yourself during encounters. Though it is not as popular as other destinations in Africa, it should be. The wildlife viewing was amazing, the accommodations (we stayed mid range) were way above anything we could have dreamed, and the service and kindness we experienced from locals was unmatched. The scenery was gorgeous, the varying landscapes accross the country were awe inspiring. My husband and I had the most memorable trip of our lives here and would recommend it to anyone.

A new adventure every day

We toured Uganda for 17 days mid range accommodation. We took many game drives, launch trip on Kazinga Channel, gorillas and Chimpanzee trekking, plus visted Lake Bunyonyi and local villages. We had the most amazing holiday with many animal sightings. Accommodation was very good and food excellent.

We felt very safe whilst in Uganda.

Uganda represents great value when compared to other African Countries

Our main TIP for other travellers is not to leave any money in your room or unattended. Even if it is locked in a bag, unfortunately we had some money stolen from a locked bag which was opened and relocked so it was not evident we had money stolen.

Uganda is an unrivaled destination to see mountain gorillas, chimpanzees, elephants,&hippopotamus's.

The people of Uganda were amazingly hospitable. Dav Safaris provided an excellent 7-Day safari to several major National Parks where we saw a wide variety of large animals and birds.

The highlight for us was trekking mountain gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. We will never forget watching this family of gorillas led by a very large silverback gorilla for an hour.

I highly recommend Dav Safaris to anyone seeking to experience the beauty of Uganda and variety of large animals in the wild.

Uganda has terrible road structure, but wonderful wildlife and people.

Uganda is a beautiful country with wonderful people and amazing wildlife. What I did not enjoy was our car ride from the airport in Entebbe to Bwindi National Forest. It took 10 hours because their roads are in terrible shape, two-lane highways through small towns all the way. The distance we traveled would take 4 hours on roads from the US. But because they don’t have the infrastructure we do, it took 10 hours.
