Day 1

Arusha to Serengeti National Park

Arusha to Serengeti National Park

We will depart from Arusha in the morning and arrive at Serengeti National Park in the afternoon. There, we will embark on an afternoon game drive. In the late afternoon, we will reach the campsite in the heart of the Serengeti. Your tent will be prepared, and the chef will cook a delicious dinner in the evening.

The Serengeti is renowned for its vast plains of savannah and forest landscapes, covering an area of about 30,000km² (12,000mi²) in the north of Tanzania and Kenya, with 80% of it located in Tanzania. The park is famous for the annual migration of wildebeest and zebras. During the migration, approximately 1.5 million herbivores and their followers and thousands of predators move through the area due to the drought from the northern hills to the southern plains. After the rains in mid-April, they return via a detour through the western part. The grasslands cover over one-third of the park, making it a great place to see many animals yearly.
